The Many Hats of HelenI have written for, edited, and designed many publications, including The Leonid, The Lion Yearbook, and the York Daily Record's Teen Takeover program. My articles are diverse, ranging from straight news stories, fascinating features, and even a few sports stories. I am the Junior Editor-in-Chief of Red Lion Senior High School's newspaper, The Leonid, which entails many jobs, such as designing layout, writing articles, editing articles, maintaining the website, and managing business affairs.

Throughout my time working for The Leonid, I have learned a lot of techniques and tricks to writing, designing, and taking pictures. I was fortunate enough to be made the Editor-in-Chief of The Leonid so that I can share my experiences with others. I have taught other students how to use InDesign and how to design a page. I also edit many of the less experienced students' articles. I work with them to bring their articles up to the standards of journalism, which includes fixing grammar, suggesting additions, and restructuring articles. Other students come to me to help them troubleshoot and to answer any questions they have. I am willing to help others with whatever they need to help with the publication process.
