I am a senior at Red Lion Area Senior High School. I am a self-proclaimed introvert who was lucky enough to stumble into the world of writing and journalism. True to my Ravenclaw nature, I always have my nose stuck in a book. This is my third year on both The Leonid staff and The Lion yearbook staff. I plan to do everything from writing and editing to taking pictures and fighting with the layout.
I have reached leadership positions with both publications, as the Editor-in-Chief of The Leonid and an editor of The Lion yearbook. I am also the Secretary/Treasurer of the Leo Chapter of National Honor Society.
In the fall of 2017, I will attend Temple University to major in English. With an additional minor in business, I plan to go into the publishing industry as an editor.
Being a part of both publications comes with a lot of responsibilities. I write, take pictures, edit, fundraise, design layouts, and maintain the website for The Leonid. I do many of the same tasks for The Lion yearbook, in addition to teaching new members the tricks of the trade and making decisions about the publication.
In addition, I have been on the varsity team for girls tennis for three years. I still have hopes of playing recreationally in college. For my leadership and thoughtfulness (but not necessarily my athletic ability) I was voted the Rookie of the Year as a sophmore and Role Model of the Year as a senior. I also volunteer at my church and at the Kaltrieder-Benfer library. In the off chance that I have free time, I like to read books and play with my adorable puppies.
All of the content, including photography and writing, on this website was created by me.
